I'll be reviewing this tomorrow. It's quite a large article so it may take a little while. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 05:49, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Due to the article's size, I'll split the review into each subsection:

Production[edit]

No issues. Wizardman Operation Big Bear

Format[edit]

Housemates[edit]

No issues. Wizardman Operation Big Bear

Summary[edit]

  • "Big Brother set the non-housemates a series of tasks by which they could earn the right to become housemates." Did you mean sent? If not I'm misreading or something since the sentence seems odd.

  • "In the first task Rodrigo was given four minutes to persuade another housemate to allow him to shave off their eyebrows and have a moustache and a pair of glasses drawn on their face with a permanent marker until further notice." Too many 'and's, and onlythe to persuade or to allow is needed, not both.

  • "With 6.8% of the vote Beinazir became the first evictee without ever becoming a housemate.[48]" It might be helpful to note that in just the first voting, the lowest % got evicted rather than the highest, as at first I thought the % was just a typo.

  • "On Day 8, Saffia left the House" You use day 8 earlier, so maybe instead write 'on the same day'.

 Done KingOfTheMedia (talk) 20:47, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • "During the task, Siavash, playing the King Henry VIII," Either that 'the' isn't needed or there's part of the story that's missing here.

 Done KingOfTheMedia (talk) 20:47, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • "In week ten, following a spate of rule breaking" reword (though if spate is a common british term then nevermind - or did you mean spat?)

 Done KingOfTheMedia (talk) 20:47, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Should Day and House be capitalized? I don't know if that's appropriate for the series or if it's being done to look nice (okay if it's the first, not if the second)
A MOS consensus appears to have been established here - it looks like it's more the former than the latter. KingOfTheMedia (talk) 20:47, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nominations Table[edit]

10th year commemorations[edit]

  • "The first of which, The George Lamb Quiz of the Decade, was launched on 7 June." Fragment. Could probably be solved removing 'of which'.

Reception[edit]

  • For the viewing figures section, are all the name-drops of other shows necessary? Using one or two for comparative purposes is fine, butit might be a bit overdone. Putting the weekly ratings into a table is a possibility as well if you'd like to try that.
Looking through the archive discussions, which is what I was advised to do when I first came to this page, it appears that the previous Big Brother UK articles used to use just tables to show day-to-day ratings with no context at all. A consensus was then established that this was unsuitable and that the section should be in prose with context provided; this is what we have here. Therefore, I don't think that changes should be made. KingOfTheMedia (talk) 20:56, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

References/Misc.[edit]

  • Most of your |publisher=| should actually be |work=|, which are also auto-italicized. Work would be the newspaper/magazine itself, publisher would be if it's a company behind a paper/website/book. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 02:16, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Does it make a difference, as long as the correct parts are italicised and the correct parts are not? It looks the same to the reader at the end of the day. KingOfTheMedia (talk) 20:50, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've noted the few comments you have above, and all things considered they aren't things I would worry about in terms of GAN progress. As a result, based on how the article is currently I'm passing it as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 23:54, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
