Copyright and licensing[edit]

If the Village of Black Creek history page is an original work, then anything taken from it and placed in this article is a copyright violation and will be removed. If the Village of Black Creek history page is a copy of an older version of the Wikipedia Black Creek article, then it violates Wikipedia's Creative Commons licensing, which clearly states that material taken from WP must at a minimum include the URL of the WP article and refer to the WP Creative Commons license. I'm assuming that the Village of Black Creek site copied the WP article. Therefore, it is circular to use the Village of Black Creek page as a source for the WP article, and any references to the Village of Black Creek history page will be removed. 75.13.69.72 (talk) 19:32, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tone and format[edit]

What concerns are there on this article and where are they located? If you know where they are please fix them or list them on this talk page. I am from Black Creek and I'm trying to make this article complete, to the point, and trustworthy. User 75.13.69.72 (talk) please don't leave me hanging if there are things wrong. The article will get done faster if we work together. If there are no concerns please remove the template. 1014cd (talk) 21:34, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's much better than it was. Some of the history section is still a bit too informal. I'm not sure that all of the Recreation and tourism section is encyclopedic (e.g., spaghetti dinners and ice cream socials). All of the external links should be removed from the article, and the references formatted. I've already done a couple of citations as examples. Perhaps you could do the remainder. The number of external links should also be reduced. Check the WikiProject Cities guidelines for help. 75.13.69.72 (talk) 22:28, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
