Reason to Keep this Page[edit]

I think we should keep this page, as it is a character page, and not a mere paragraph in the Cast list on the Transformers film page. BWMSDogs (talk) 14:14, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The paragraph in the Cast list is a link to whole pages about these characters, which contain more information than what was here. Please do not create duplicate content on Wikipedia; feel free to add your contributions to the existing articles about these characters. --Nehwyn (talk) 14:17, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, but I want to add a page for the characters in the film. BWMSDogs (talk) 16:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are already several pages for the characters in the film. Feel free to edit them, but please do not create duplicates. --Nehwyn (talk) 19:04, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Proposal[edit]

Suggesting the merging of:

To

It's the same characters spread across three articles, in some cases purely a list and it is, IMO, completely ridiculous. No reason at all for these to be set across three articles.Darkwarriorblake (talk) 01:15, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose: The article you suggest already exists here. The existence of three separate articles allows for the inclusion of detailed production information for each character in a given film. Integrating all the information from the three articles into one would make it a huge mess. --uKER (talk) 02:22, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment that article is a pure list. No other film requires a separate article for each film even if it involves "detailed production information" which these three articles certainly do not. The characters that do feature that are the exception, not the rule. Anyone who has too much information would be better off being in their own article, ala Dominic Toretto, Sidney Prescott, Ellen Ripley. No policy on Wikipedia endorses having the same characters split across three articles with or without technical data and in some cases just plot regurgitation. Also see:
Well, the idea I had was that this article would turn into this, which is similar to the article I linked before, and would certainly not be able hold the information in the three Transformers articles. Now, seeing this article, I'm liking it a bit more. In short, I'm OK as long as no information is lost in the process. --uKER (talk) 19:56, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – Having four articles detailing Transformers characters is a bit overkill. There is a strong precedent for just having one article per franchise, and I don't see any good reason why there has to be an exception here. I'm sure one article would suffice, and production information that is specific to one particular film should probably be covered in the production section of the relevant film article. EDIT: I think this merge proposal should be extended to Characters in the Transformers film series. Betty Logan (talk) 18:44, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong Support - per other precedents the series as a whole can be placed into a List of article as long as it stays away from WP:INUNIVERSE information, which this articles often suffer from. As it is having an article for each movie is unnecessary WP:SPINOUT. --Teancum (talk) 16:45, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grindor[edit]

Can anyone tell me why the description of Grindor was taken off the page?

Disorders in the article[edit]

First of all, some users areassuming that becuase The Fallen was named "Megatronus" in the Aligned Continuity, that's his real name in the live-action films as well. But I'm a little bit unsure about this. And what about mentioning which charaters might appear in the fifth Transformers film? We have no official confirmation from any of them. CAJH (talk) 13:41, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Main Antagonist of Age Of Extinction[edit]

I feel that Harold Attinger is the true main antagonist of the film and Lockdown is the secondary because Attinger plotted the destruction of the transformers and hired Lockdown to help in addition he has the most significance to what the plot is based around and is given the orders in addition to having deeper motives. Anyone else want to chime in with their opinion be my guest.--Miked1992 (talk) 15:39, 21 November 2014 (UTC)miked1992--Miked1992 (talk) 15:39, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is WP:OR: We do not have a reliable source stating the character is the "true main agonist". - SummerPhD (talk) 23:16, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think it sure go like, the main human antagonist is Harold Attinger, and the main Transformers antagonist is Lockdown. Spider-Man2017 (talk) 12:04, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My huge edit[edit]

Do not delete the edit please. I changed it, keeping the new characters, but putting back the old ones. Because so many characters were taken out of the page. --MarKreationsStudios1 (talk)— Preceding unsigned comment added by MarKreationsStudios1 (talkcontribs) 01:51, March 6, 2015‎

I've just cleaned out a bunch of "rumored to appear" characters. Those need sources. The rest of your edit is obviously copy-pasted from somewhere. You'll need to show that that source is not copyrighted. You'll also need to provide sources. - SummerPhD (talk) 02:24, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up[edit]

"It is possible..." Sure. It is possible that the whole film series will turn out to be a dream. It is possible one of the Transformers will wake up next to Bob Newhart in the final film. It is possible the last film will tie the series in with It's a Wonderful Life. Virtually anything "is possible" (including dead characters returning as ghosts or unseen characters "hiding around the Earth"). Unless these possibilities are discussed in the films or reliable sources, these guesses do not belong in the article. The same idea applies to anything including the word "might".

Yes, I am sure that Optimus Prime is similar to Rainbow Sparkle from My Little Pony. Unfortunately, this is either so obvious that it need not be mentioned or is original research. Leave it out.

Yes, various actors have had other roles. Those roles are immaterial here.

I've gone through and removed much of this. There's plenty more that I've missed. Much of this "article" is bits and pieces of various plots. This material is not appropriate here, as it is not about the characters (the topic of this aritlce). Additionally, any plot material that does belong here is currently presented in an "in-universe" style. I'll work on cleaning some of this up. The article will end up being considerably shorter. If anyone doesn't understand what I am doing or why, ask here. - SummerPhDv2.0 14:15, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Megatron/Galvatron[edit]

You know, I'm a little concerned on why I have to explain this, but this "Megatron/Galvatron" depute is getting ridiculous. Michael Bay, Paramount Pictures, Hasbro, the writers, even the characters in the movie itself confirmed that Megatron and Galvatron are the same person/robot. "Within that man-made prototype I fought, I sensed the presence of Megatron" - Optimus Prime. "KSI might've named the body the snappy name of Galvatron, but that's just Megatron reincarnated" - Brains. So, why exactly is Wikipedia going to treat Megatron and Galvatron as separate characters, even thought, for years, Galvatron has always been a reborn Megatron? I'm very confused.

I'm extremely making it consistent to promote obsessive fanboys ruining it with a rumor that Galvatron will revert back in The Last Knight and of course having a proper series of context that the TFWiki articles have. ZeEnergizer (talk) 06:05, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I guess that does make sense.

Accents of certain Transformers[edit]

Does anyone know what accents Ironhide and Crosshairs have in the movies? Ironhide sounds like he's from New Zealand, and Crosshairs sounds like he's from Australia, but I could be wrong. What do you think? ChipmunkRaccoon (talk) 00:53, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
