NEAT[edit]

This company also was famous for the NEAT (New Enhanced AT) chipset. NEAT was made in versions for 80286 and 80386 CPUs. Among its features was the ability to alter memory mapping in the CMOS/BIOS setup and built in hardware for EMS (Expanded Memory System) RAM.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.136.145.250 (talkcontribs) 08:38, 20 April 2006‎

  • Doesn't seem so famous. I think that page should be merged here. There is some coverage of their chipsets, but that page is boosted by mixing them all together. Someone not using his real name (talk) 19:30, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it's notable for being the first chipset for PCs. It may have been largely responsible for shrinking the AT form factor down to Baby AT size—basically the same size as the original PC and XT motherboards. For that significant milestone, it probably deserves its own article, but this article about the company needs to be better developed to highlight NEAT and show where it fits in their history. For now, I think any attempt to merge the two is premature, and would likely make things worse, so I'm removing the tags. Wbm1058 (talk) 14:23, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Founders[edit]

[...] was the first fabless semiconductor company, a model developed by its founder Gordon Campbell. Founded by Dado Banatao. Its first product [...]

One sentence says it was founded by Gordon Campbell, the next one that Dado Banatao was the Founder? This doesn't sound right. Dfwiki (talk) 13:37, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OPTi[edit]

It would be good if someone clarified C&T's relationship with OPTi. At one point they made chips with identical names. A bit of googling finds that there was also a lawsuit between them. Someone not using his real name (talk) 12:25, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
