Untitled[edit]

There a now bugs on this page, which I have may caused.

a) The edit-links are shifted, i.e., pressing the one one the level of Usage, brings up the edit page for history, on the history one for mutual recognition agreement

b) On error, I created an "In other languages" side bar. I corrected my mistake, but the error is still present

I reported both errors now in the BTS, so if you know the cause, add that information to the bug reports (#2587 and #2588)

Common Criteria in Iran[edit]

There is a defined project on Common Criteria laboratory installation in Iran for the first time in middle east. Owner of project is Iran Telecommunication Research Center (ITRC). Project is being accomplished in Amirkabir University of Technology.

Common Criteria Testing Laboratories[edit]

This section currently only decribes the US implementation. The section should be made more generic.

Relationship Between ISO and CCRA[edit]

This page says that the common criteria is an ISO standard, and links to a web page containing the standard. There is no mention of the Common Criteria Development Board, etc., which can be found at http://www.commoncriteriaportal.org. In that web site the Common Criteria standard can be found, which in many cases is a word-for-word copy of the ISO standard, except one says Common Criteria and the other says ISO/IEC. What is the relationship between these two organizations? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.190.254.108 (talk) 23:15, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship Between CC and Semantic WEB[edit]

Currently (09-11-25) there is a link to the semantic web page. I am quite sure the two items do not have anything in common. CC is about security assurance and Semantic Web is basically about scraping information on Web sites.

I removed it, it had no bearing whatsoever. It was introduced on February 2008 in the version 189923010, by a guy who seem to have done several disruptive edits in that period.
There are other dubious references such as that to the China_Compulsory_Certificate, but for now I left them as I'm less sure about them.
By the way, semantic web is not really about "scraping information on web sites".

Country specific sections needed?[edit]

I assume the line "Common Criteria is used as the basis for a Government driven certification scheme and typically evaluations are conducted for the use of Federal Government agencies and critical infrastructure." Refers to the set-up in a particular country, and may not apply in all other cases? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Resag (talkcontribs) 08:27, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Common Criteria. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

SFR vs PP[edit]

Hello.

I've read the section about protection profiles and Security Functional Requirements and don't get the difference between both of them. They are security features of the TOEs, so what's the difference? Please, someone have to make clear on this.

Reference to PP to define SFRs[edit]

Hi guys,

By reviewing the following sentence:

Common Criteria is a framework in which computer system users can specify their security functional and assurance requirements (SFRs and SARs respectively) through the use of Protection Profiles (PPs)

, it should be noted that it is not accurate to state that PPs are used to specify SFRs, since a developer may define a whole ST -including the SFRs- without the need to refer to a PP.

Can any of the main editors rephrase this statement to clarify this concept?

Thanks

Update: I changed the statement to clarify this fact.
