This article appears to have been spammed by the Bohica Associates Corporation.

Indeed. From the description of the BACEngine, it isn't even a database engine but an XMLised interface to any random SQL server. Even if it was a database engine, the place to describe its internal workings is not in the middle of a paragraph about database engines in general, but on its own page.

Definition[edit]

FYI, it's common in the industry for database engine to be used interchangeably with database server (especially for folks who have worked with/for IBM - see IBM DB2 for many examples). What is an engine?[edit]

Why is there not an article for a general computing engine, of which a database engine is a particular type?
