I set this website up to tell other people about my school. I don't understand why any of it should be deleted.

  • It's not the school article itself, but mostly the other articles you are creating as branches off of it. I'm sure you like your school and your teachers, but the average teacher just isn't notable enough to include in an encylopedia. --Xcali 20:18, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • The high school article is fine, but individual high school teachers aren't generally notabled. I'd recommend integrating them into this article. Wikibofh 20:59, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

There, I deleted all the articles about the teachers. I hope this enough to rebuild any burned bridges.(And get this link off the "CLUELESS NEWBIE" category!) P.S. any info on where I could put these articles for all to see where they won't get deleted is appreciated! Sorry for the mess I caused.

  • Ok, the header of the VfD's says "[...]but please do not blank, merge,[...]" so actually it makes it a little harder. To delete an article an admin has to do it. My recommendation is that you move these biographies into a section in the actual high school article. I'm not sure they are necessary, but I can see them workinging there. The "clueless newbie" stuff is something I hadn't seen before yesterday, and you seem well on your way to not being there anymore  :) Wikibofh 15:36, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • (Oh, and I definitely don't think you've burned any bridges, so don't worry about it. I would however, recommend creating an account.) Wikibofh 15:49, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thank you. I will be sure to do that.

  • Creating an account will do much to increase your perceived standing on Wikipedia. Your earlier actions, where you ignored requests to stop creating teacher articles (and were temporarily blocked for it), created a very negative impression of you. We encourage you to be bold but there are also a number of policies that need to be considered as well. It's wonderful to see you wanting to work well with Wikipedia! Also, please sign comments that you make by taking on four ~'s at the end of your comments. Thanks! --Durin 13:47, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

White Male History Month?

DeSales annually celebrates White Male History Month every April, as started by a former prominent senior.

Could someone explain this? Robojames 18:30, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I also got this link off of the clueless newbie page, and I was wondering^^ what the hell?? Does that actually say White Male History Month??? 172.166.191.111 6 July 2005 21:55 (UTC)

  • The question has been here almost two weeks. I'm presuming it's a joke. If there is no supporting evidence to the contrary in a few days, I'll remove the reference. Wikibofh 6 July 2005 22:06 (UTC)
  • White Male History Month did take place, but it was just a private thing with no real fanfare. You can delete it if you want. I was kind of rushing through things when I put it there and wasn't thinking about the consequences. Do what you please.
