Transportation[edit]

No idea how to change the link but under transportation, there's an incorrect hyperlink for Sun Zhigang. It gives the link to a political incident, rather than the link to the Guizhou governor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.188.25.130 (talk) 17:23, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Thanks for pointing it out. Kornatice (talk) 21:40, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

If someone could find the English link to this external link that would be great (Guizhou's Provincial Government(Chinese) ) Also I am not sure if this is relevant to the page or strictly advertising (Guizhou Moutai)Bronayur 15:56, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps someone could clarify why the Miao link is directed to the Hmong people page and not the Miao People page? Or is it merely an error? ----

History[edit]

The 'history' section of this page seems a bit politically charged. It only discusses the extent of Han involvement in the area, as well as the apparent willingness of the locals to revolt. Perhaps more details about its former inhabitants and their history would be more relevant?

Well, that's the major tension there, interaction between locals and the Chinese. Of course it's dull that it's so unilaterally from Chinese point of view, but then again, the Miao maybe did much less history-writing during those times. If you can find a Miao source, would make it much better.
Actually what I think is missing is the communist time. The "history" is abruptly cut off at Qing genocide, but communists did horrible things there too. And of course the whole wartime. Would be great to have the history section reach up to this day. --Sigmundur (talk) 06:51, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Geology[edit]

Would be nice to include small text and a link to the article about the Doushantuo Formation — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.179.169.35 (talk) 19:39, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to write it or make a ==See also== section. --Cold Season (talk) 20:04, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Culture[edit]

The culture section is in urgent need of additional details. Currently this section only mentions Maotai, the alcohol producer. Guizhou, with all of its minority peoples, is so rich in culture, certainly lots of things could be mentioned here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.4.252.147 (talk) 05:01, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mistakes[edit]

There are 9 county-level divisions in Tongren prefecture in the map but in Tamplate Guizhou Province Tongren prefecture has 10 county-level divisions. --Kaiyr (talk) 14:38, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Usually the template is more up-to-date. —HXL's Roundtable and Record 22:32, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Giuzhou map[edit]

Do you have Giuzhou township-level map?--Kaiyr (talk) 14:16, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Early census[edit]

Where can I get ethnic composition for early census?--Kaiyr (talk) 19:01, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

offensiveness of introductory paragraph[edit]

Does anyone else find the first paragraph offensive? The Chinese character 貴 means expensive, precious, rich. Ironically, it is one of the poorest provinces in China. I mean, we don't introduce Mississippi as one of the poorest states in America. Tooironic (talk) 08:02, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not necessarily offensive but certainly unnecessary and WP:UNDUE. The name is explained further down in the artile so I've removed the relevant sentences from the lede.  Philg88 talk 09:31, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Governors of province[edit]

were there any Governors and Secretaries of the CPC from national minority in this province?--Kaiyr (talk) 19:34, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Administrative Divisions[edit]

Sorry, I don't really know how to phrase this, but an image needs to be uploaded (which exists, just with a bad name), and the table is all messed up. I don't know a lot about Wikitext so I don't know what the problem is. Yessg (talk) 00:02, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Someone had inadvertently broken the image in the table when they were updating the tags, so I went ahead and fixed it. The table looks okay now too, I think. LittleCuteSuit (talk) 22:37, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
