It is indeed, strange, but according to Russian translation, he was born in Moscow, and his grandfather was from Belarus, he moved to Moscow when he was young. 84.250.37.116 (talk) 16:39, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is it ilia?[edit]

I guess the proper spelling for his name would be Ilya. See here for example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilya

Redirect or Standalone article[edit]

I redirected this article to the Mumiy Troll, but it was reverted indicating that "Lagutenko surely is a wellknown musician in Russia and CIS". That may be the case. I did a cursory search before the search and really only found material that relates to him and Mumiy Troll. If there is more to his notability, than this band, then it needs to be clearly stated in this article. As it stands, this article syas he is the dounder and member of Mumiy Troll. Period. Full stop. This does a disservice to the users of wikipedia. The atricle on the band is well developed and in fact provides more information than this article. Your redirect would be like redirecting Bono to U2. Just because the band and the main member of it isn't wellknown in the western world, it doesn't mean they shouldn't have their own articles. The reason why the article was so short when you stumbled on it was that another editor just had deleted most of the article because it lacked sources[1].
