Merge notice[edit]

I believe that this should be retained with the other article converted into a re-direct as

  1. This article is an older version and imo, has a broader perspective.
  2. It is inconceivable that people would search for the name of the other article as the title of this article is more commonly used.

I'd wait for comments till the 22nd of November and then carry out the merger (based on the response). --Gurubrahma 10:43, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge I created this article, and I feel that it should be merged, but the extra details and information in the "All India Home Rule League" article must be included fully into the main, older article.

In fact, I think that none of the info on "Home Rule Movement" compares to the AIHRL article, becoz it is a lacklustre paragrah. - User:Rama's Arrow, Nirav Maurya, November 22nd, 2005.

Articles new home Indian Home Rule Movement[edit]

I moved this article to prevent confusion with the Irish home rule movement —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmckeon ie (talkcontribs) 18:22, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deserves better, what happened after 1920[edit]

I know that the home rule movement was active both in India and the UK. Both streams should be described until independence. I believe that the principal body in the UK was the India club. I will do a bit of research, but I start from a near zero base. Reg nim (talk) 21:23, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And I knew Julius Silverman. I learned that for many vital years he was chair of the India Club in the Strand. I understood that his commitment to independence was total and his contribution to success was significant. About 1998 he was decorated by the Indian Government in recognition of his work. None of this appears on his Wikipedia page, nor here. I am sad about this but I cannot find the details online. I hope someone has records. Reg nim (talk) 21:25, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
