KrishnarajapuraKrishnarajapuram – This is the official name of the place. Google News search gives 6 results for Krishnarajapura, and 549 for Krishnarajapuram. Dee03 15:44, 1 July 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. Anarchyte (work | talk) 08:15, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 15:57, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: It appears that both names are in active use. Counting the search results accurately takes time because Google tends to combine the two forms. Article history shows the 'm' going back and forth. This question should have a discussion. EdJohnston (talk) 15:57, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Comment There is no 'official' name for a suburb. The news searches need to be disambiguated for other uses of the name, including two separate villages in Andhra Pradesh. Until then the usage seems to be approximately equal. Imc (talk) 08:00, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as nominator. The official name is "Krishnarajapuram" and that spelling is used in the railway station, assembly constituency and ward articles. By the way, the very first line of this article notes the abbreviation as "KJM" (obviously there is no "m" in the current spelling). "KR Puram" yields about 26,00,000 hits on Google while "KR Pura" gets 5,29,000. And as a resident of the city, I can vouch for "Krishnarajapuram" being the official and WP:COMMONNAME (I don't know if you'll WP:AGF on that or call it WP:OR). I have noticed similar "m"-removing attempts made on other articles like Malleswaram (see: [1], [2]) and Seshadripuram ([3], [4]). Also I wouldn't give much weightage to ill-informed comments like "There is no 'official' name for a suburb." Dee03 18:21, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. A sufficient case for moving the page has been made. bd2412 T 22:19, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit history preserved at Krishnarajapura[edit]

I just performed the move request above, but the page previously at this title (Krishnarajapuram) had a nontrivial history, due to a previous merge between it and the Krishnarajapura article. I therefore performed the move as a "round robin", in order to leave the previous edit history intact for attribution purposes. It can now be found at Krishnarajapura, which redirects here.
