BBQ[edit]

Untitled[edit]

Whether we spell the word 'Barbecue' or 'Barbeque', BBQ is not initialisation. Initialising Barbecue would give 'B'. BBQ for 'Barbecue' does not imply that Q should appear in the word itself; it is akin to using 'Q8' for Kuwait.Ewen 07:42, 16 June 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.80.6.163 (talk) [reply]

BAMF= bad a** mother f*****(Revision as of 19:14, 23 October 2008, by 164.116.245.55)

yes, but can you provide a reliable third party reference? oh, so maybe you arent such a bamf. also, WP is not censored. the reference is to bad ass mother fucker.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 01:09, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
disambig created, which includes a wiktionary link, which helps provide some context for this acronym of a slang phrase. The use of this acronym on WP is mostly as a form of vandalism, where it's placed after (male) sports figures, politicians, etc, and gives the appearance of some obscure title or honorarium. its not. Any use of BAMF like this without good sourcing can probably be removed as "bamfalism".Mercurywoodrose (talk) 08:23, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I see that BAMF was removed from this list. If it doesnt have a reference, good riddance. i will adjust the disambig as appropriate.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 07:11, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
