Reason for being part of Australia project?[edit]

Why is this part of the Australia project? This is an american television show and there is no mention of australia in the article.Ergzay (talk) 09:06, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed -- it was added automatically by a bot, which means it's likely a bad edit. -- 65.94.170.48 (talk) 10:30, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong episode list[edit]

There are multiple websites that have different episode lists and airdates for Naked Science than what is currently used in this wiki page:
http://www.yidio.com/show/naked-science
http://www.tvguide.com/detail/tv-show.aspx?tvobjectid=194644&more=ucepisodelist&episodeid=4290148
http://sharetv.org/shows/naked_science/episodes
http://www.episodeworld.com/show/Naked_Science/season=1/english
Notably on all these websites the "Bermuda Triangle" episode isn't listed. However, I have seen it and it does exist.

Those websites have airdates and season organization different from the one used as the source for this page:
http://www.tv.com/National+Geographic+Channel+Naked+Science/show/30848/episode.html?season=1&tag=ep_guide;paginator;1

Also, I cannot find any evidence that "The Deadliest Shark" episode ever existed.

I removed "Box Fabrication". I can't find any reference to it on google besides copies of the wikipedia text. Also, it's been sitting for many months with a [citation needed]. If anyone has seen this episode, or can find a reference to it, feel free to add it back. Justin Ormont (talk) 03:14, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The ep list is incomplete, and the season #s are unofficial. Something's wrong with the formatting. Be sure to preview the page before saving. That wikipedia's incomplete and unofficial ep list is divided by year.
Thanks for the list of external links and for your contributing research. If you wish, please add a summary parameter or column using template:episode list. --Twinsday (talk) 22:11, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi guys, I have updated all the episodes so far, but the sources for airing dates were controversial. I checked all possible sources provided, and also used Calendar for the years 2004-2011 to see if the airing day follows pattern (e.g. first the airing is in Wed, then moved to Thu, etc). I also tried to find evidence for the episode "The Deadliest Shark" but it is not listed in the list of all episodes at the official web site of Naked Science, click Episodes, then select all episodes. There is an episode "Shark attacks" however. There are some episodes such as the "Swine Flu: The Science of Pandemics" that is not listed currently, and maybe there are some other episodes that I have omitted. If someone is interested to update please do so. I am not sure if I can spend more time on this article, it already took me a couple of ours to apply the template tables and input the airing dates. It would be nice if the number of each episode can be automatically generated, because currently if some episode is inserted the whole numbering must be repaired manually. Undid Crusio's blanking[edit]

Dear User:Crusio, if I have to follow your logic, I should go and delete the whole page The_Universe_(TV_series). I have transformed everything into wikitable using the Wikipedia guidelines for TV series. It took many hours of work. What I did not have time to do is to input "short summary" for each episode, which I hope can be done also by other editors. I can start putting short summaries on the recent episodes, going back etc. Please discuss, do not blank again my revert. Let us vote, before deleting/reverting. Based on the content of The_Universe_(TV_series) I believe you are making mistake, if you disagree, please explain what is different between The_Universe_(TV_series) and the series Naked Science. • It may well be that other articles needed to be cleaned-up, too. That such lists exist elsewhere is not a reason to let this one stand (see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS aka WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS). WP is not a directory and this kind of lists has no place here. In addition, the external links provide access to this info. --Crusio (talk) 14:05, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Frankly, I did not expect you to blank directly without waiting for opinion of other Wiki-editors. Why don't you go and blank the WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS at The_Universe_(TV_series). Also "the external links provide access to this info" is ungrounded statement. Go and see yourself, the eternal links are contradictory and crap, and in many cases it is dificult to track the original airdate. I think your behavior might be appropriate if Wikipedia were your own website. I don't have more time for losing in Wikipedia, so I will not continue this absurd discussion. Enough is enough! Danko Georgiev (talk) 14:20, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • WP has over 3 million articles. Nobody can edit all of that, which is why people have written the "WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS" essay. --Crusio (talk) 14:21, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Quote from WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS: "When used correctly though, these comparisons are important as the encyclopedia should be consistent in the content that it provides or excludes. The problem arises when legitimate comparisons are disregarded without thought because "other stuff existing is not a reason to keep/create/etc."

What you did is just vandalizing/blanking of my edit without any thought. You should read yourself what you suggest others to read. I repeat again - go and blank The_Universe_(TV_series), don't argue with me. A person who has moral principles should follow them. I already gave you very nice example The_Universe_(TV_series) waiting for your master technique. Danko Georgiev (talk) 14:36, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
