Flag of Ningxia[edit]

Is this a real regional, separatist or historical flag of Ningxia? -- Himasaram 02:52, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to crwflags.com, this is the flag used by the three warlords Ma Bufang, Ma Hongkui, and Ma Hongbin, who ruled the provinces of Qinghai, Gansu and Ningxia respectively. The Ma's were a family of warlords originating from Gansu who ruled these northwestern regions for several decades before the communists arrived. -- ran (talk) 15:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

crwflags.com is an unreliable website. It contains completely false information, claiming that Ma Hongkui fled to turkey (in reality, he fled to taiwan, then the united states, he had zero connections with turkey). And ma bufang never proclaimed himself sultan. The flag was never used by the ningxia government, and its not even a regional flag.Дунгане (talk) 04:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

guominjun rule and governor Men Zhizhong[edit]

Ningxia was under Guominjun rule under Governor Men Zhizhong. The Kuomintang affiliated Ma Clique ousted Men and the Guominjun, we need to add this to the article histoty and create an article on Governor Men.

Pie Chart is difficult for colorblinded people to see correctly[edit]

"landlocked"?....[edit]

The first sentence of the intro had emphasized that this province was "landlocked." While technically true, this strikes me as rather odd to emphasize in the first sentence of the intro of an article about a sub-national entity. The [Colorado]] article, for example, doesn't mention the state lacking a coastline, and I don't believe any of the articles on US states mention it in their first sentence.
