Importance assessment[edit]

This project is not low-importance any more. I think we'll be seeing more articles about it in the coming months because of questions about its funding, the Wuhan Lab, Covid-19, etc...Newsweek and others have articles mentioning controversies about PREDICT.Lmlmss44 (talk) 23:27, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Status[edit]

The article lede states: "PREDICT was an epidemiological research program funded by a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) grant. Launched in 2009, the program was described as an early warning pandemic system."

However US Predict is still online this should be acknowledged? ^[1]

Furthermore EcoHealth Alliance was issued a new grant to continue its work to predict potential pathogens. EcoHealth Alliance's work will target Southeast Asia, specifically Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. NIH Project #1U01AI151797-01 ^[2]

PREDICT (USAID) → PREDICT – There's two possible ways this can go here:

The only other thing plausibly titled "PREDICT" in all caps is a government database only mentioned in passing, which this seems to be clearly the primary topic over.
This may not meet the required criteria for ALLCAPS titles per MOS:CAPS (it's not an acronym, but on the other hand all but one source cited capitalizes it), in which case this should be move to Predict (USAID).
