Should this article be merged with "Quantum cryptography"? In fact, it might make sense to just delete this article and have it redirect to Quantum cryptography because not much information is provided here that doesn't already exist on the other page. Yes, i think it should be deleted as the description of what is going on is just wrong. The title "Quantum network" is also misleading. It is a straigtforward, garden variety fiber optic network without any spooky quantum entangled communication at all. Only the generation and verification of encryption keys makes use of entanglement. end-to-end quantum channel?[edit]

the article does not explain if those networks prevent man-in-the-middle attacks (for example by the network operator), an if so, how this is achieved. --sofias. (talk) 22:31, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Man in the middle attacks would likely be impossible on quantum networks. The NSA hates this. If you disrupt the connecting atoms in any way, the messages change. Remember Schrodingers cat? 2014 update and rewrite[edit]

Hi folks, I wanted to expand upon this page as part of an advanced topics class I'm taking at UCLA. I hope this addresses some of the concerns that have been mentioned. I've tried to focus more on the implemented networks and less on cryptography as that's covered in the quantum crypo page as has been mentioned. For what it's worth, I think it would be beneficial to move some of the information from Quantum_key_distribution to this page and to BB84 and E91.
