The name of the organisation is customarily ended with an "O", for convenience. In fact it is the female gender symbol (circle with a cross below). Does anyone know how to access this symbol for WP editing purposes? Opbeith (talk) 23:41, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See the code for this sentence for three different ways to display it: ♀ or ♀ or ♀ VernoWhitney (talk) 13:08, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help, VernoWhitney. I tried the first two but when I previewed I just saw the code, not the symbol. The third worked, really beautifully in the emboldened version, much better than it appears in the plain text version in the post above, but unfortunately it was a light grey rather than black. Before I try and make a comprehensive switch to the unemboldened third version, do have you any suggestions I could try to get number three in black? Opbeith (talk) 19:46, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I'm aware it should show up in black all the time, just skinny. I'm afraid I don't know how to do any different tricks with it. Sorry. VernoWhitney (talk) 20:25, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for trying anyway - and it's a starting point! Opbeith (talk) 00:59, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
