Title[edit]

There must be a better title than this half-translated version. Has anyone got a reliable English-language source which indicates the common English title? PamD 12:04, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Moved to Sinfonia in B-flat major for two oboes, two horns and strings, per EdJohnston research. (non-admin closure)  — Amakuru (talk) 09:15, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sinfonia in B major for 2 oboi, 2 corni e archi → ? – There must be a better title than this half-translated version! Possibly "...for two oboes, 2 horns and strings" but I'm not an expert in names of musical works so hope someone will suggest something confidently. PamD 12:08, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: The closest musical reference I can find is http://d-nb.info/350565473, which is a link to the catalog of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek. They hold the sheet music for a work called 'Sinfonia für 2 Oboen, 2 Hörner und Streichorchester : B-Dur, B flat major / Cimarosa. [Hrsg. von Hermann Müller]", published by Breitkopf and Härtel in 1981. In English this would be "Sinfonia in B-flat major for two oboes, two horns and strings". I suggest that as the new title for our article. There's also a chance that what is called 'Symphony in B-flat major' here might be the same work. EdJohnston (talk) 02:31, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
