Overall this is a good article, though I have the following issues:

  • Could the background be a bit more detailed? For example, "In July, the Narva front was almost the only place where the Red Army could not defeat the German Armed Forces" it says almost, so where were they having success?
    • I expanded the section towards more detail.--Jaan Pärn (talk) 10:22, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "On 16 August, Lieutenant Grechkin's group" This is his first and only mention; what's his first name? Does he have a wiki article?
    • He does not have even a Russian wikiarticle. However, I added his first name and linked the landing operation to the Russian wikipage about it. --Jaan Pärn (talk) 10:22, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "the designated commander of the operation Brigadeführer Hyazinth Graf Strachwitz von Gross-Zauche und Camminetz suffered a serious car accident." Reword; one can't 'suffer' an accident.
  • "The attack of 4 September reached the northern outskirts of the city but was repulsed by units of the Soviet 86th, 128th, 291st, and 321st Rifle Divisions. Relative calm settled on the front for the subsequent thirteen days." The infobox says it ended the 6th, which there isn't a mention of, the two seem to somewhat contradict each other.
  • The aftermath section is rather large in comparison to the offensive; I would be careful about straying from what the major point of the article is.
  • URLs in the references should have accessdates.
  • The last ref needs to be cleaned up a bit. Use the citation templates, it might help for that one.
    • The ref is no longer there after the cleanup. --Jaan Pärn (talk) 10:22, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put the article on hold for five days and pass when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 04:47, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looks better now, so I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 17:30, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your work! --Jaan Pärn (talk) 20:14, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
