Giovanni Pellegrino is born in Lecce and a lawyer by profession. He was a Senator of the Republic from 1990 to 2001 for the left ex-communist party. He also presided from last 1994 to 1996 and from September 27 1996 to May 29 2001 over the Parliamentary Commission on Terrorism concerning the "Years of lead (Italy) (1969-1989)," which was created by a 1988 law and investigated about terrorism in Italy till 2001.
The long time as President of the investigation commission take him as the more informed expert about terrorism in Italy. At end of the commission experience he wrote a book with the writer Giovanni Fasanella, and speak about a long years low intensity civil war in Italy.[1]

I will next try to traduce some of the book.--Il Moderato (talk) 17:05, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
