I added this tag because the article seems to only be about video games title screen, but television shows (especially cartoon shows) that are made up of shorts have title screens to introduce the episodes. Anthony Rupert 15:38, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, there should be info about non-game title screens as well. At the moment Title screen redirects here (to Title screen (gaming)) which is a redundant disambiguation. I'm proposing moving it back to just Title screen and expanding it with non-game information. Alternatively, multiple articles could be created, but that seems overkill for this topic. --Mepolypse (talk) 21:00, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bayou Billy.png[edit]

Image:Bayou Billy.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Comment: I think that the proper term for the introduction and ending sequences of movies (including short films, like cartoons) and television shows is 'title card, not 'title screen. Although Wikipedia does have a page named "title card", that is actually a redirect to intertitle. I have never seen "title card" used to refer to the cards in old silent movies (and some newer movies and television shows) that narrate domething in the picture or show details about something. IU have heard "title card" being used to refer to the opening and closing pictures and credits at the beginning and end of a motion picture. So what I suggest, is that we remove the redirect at Title card, replacing it with a proper article on what "title screen actually deals with (the opening and closing pictures of a motion picture), and only move the Title screen (gaming) article if there are no other notable uses for the term (outside of motion pictures and television shows). Support. As far as video gaming is concerned, it is called title screen. Current title is unnecessary dab, as video game usage is indeed primary topic. Currently, whether the topic will or will not be expanded beyond video gaming does not matter.
