Origin of username Trump[edit]

Currently, the article says:

The nickname "Trump" is inspired by Donald Trump, particularly his appearances on The Apprentice.[11]

In that source, after the mention of above quote (that inspiration comes from Donald), Trump states:

My intent was mainly to use the verb form:
trump - v - to excel; surpass; outdo.

Which is also supported in a comment made on his Reddit AMA:

Trump is just from the word.. to have an edge up on your opponent or an advantage.

The verb seems to be the real meaning of the username even though the origin/inspiration might be from the "other" well-known Trump. Thoughts on reflecting this in the article? Treetear (talk) 10:07, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Samwalton9: Hi there, I'm back again. This Talk page and more specifically, this section is the reason I created this account over a year ago. Now your edit has been reverted, with this edit by @Zaqwert: who I think was not aware of this Talk page and missed double checking the source, no worries. Later, this edit was made by another user, who unfortunately got reverted by ClueBot NG when they made this second edit. I feel we have a (actually, two, if we count his Reddit AMA linked in my first comment) reliable source and a clear (but short) discussion on this, so I will go ahead and change this back eventually. --Treetear (talk) 19:28, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
