Interstate 41[edit]

Is there a citation for the reference that says the I-41 shields are to go up in 2009? I've never heard or seen this. jwhouk (talk) 01:12, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted the creation of an article at Interstate 41 back to a redirect to this article. A reporter talked to Paul Vraney, project manager for the state Department of Transportation's regional office in Green Bay in a news story released today. The reporter wrote: "Naming the highway is one unresolved issue. Vraney said it wouldn't necessarily be called Interstate 41. 'There are different guidelines within the Federal Highway Administration that we need to follow,' he said. "It could be something different." (Behnke, Duke (July 2, 2010). The first I-41 shields went up yesterday on the new Greenfield Av. interchange with I-894. It is not officially I-41 yet, but the state will begin putting up signs beginning late this year or early next year. I'll try and get better pictures of it, but for now, I posted it on AARoads. I started rewriting the I-41 section, but perhaps it's time to put it in its own article. There are other proposed interstates that have their own articles, including Interstate 3, which may likely never be built. --Fightingirish (talk) 23:17, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's Interstate 41 now. The Interstate markers are up all the way from Kenosha to Green Bay. As of right now (October 2015)it's co-signed US-41 and I-41 on the highway itself, and at entrances the markers are for I-41. Mileposts[edit]

The Oconto Bypass opened in late 2009. The logs provided to me by WisDOT are only current as of early 2009, so they lack that bypass. Unless someone can get newer versions of the logs from the department, we cannot finish the mileposting and verify the length of the highway by WisDOT sources.
