The result of the move request was: moved. I gave no weight to the single oppose. (non-admin closure) Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 07:17, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

– Not usually capped in sources, so per MOS:CAPS and WP:NCCAPS we should not treat these as proper names. Dicklyon (talk) 02:57, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some data, but not much since it's pretty uncommon in independent sources. In books, lowercase appears some, and I don't see the capped version. In news I only find the modern (different) UFL. In web pages, it's mostly Wiki mirrors, so not useful. Overall, no evidence of consistent capitalization in sources. Dicklyon (talk) 03:11, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Dicklyon's decapitalization agenda. O.N.R. (talk) 05:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We have been asked several time before to not personalize style disputes. Do you have any not-personalized reason to oppose the proposed move? Dicklyon (talk) 02:56, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment No opinion on the capital letters, but we should probably consider some sort of disambiguation. UFL Championship Game could be seen as ambiguous with UFL Cup. See also United Football League (2024) / 2024 UFL Championship Game. 162 etc. (talk) 16:38, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support This is not a true proper noun but a descriptive term - a game played to determine the champion team. It is capitalised for emphasis or distinction but we don't do that per MOS:SIGNIFCAPS. We might cap per MOS:CAPS and WP:NCCAPS if it is capped consistently in sources but the default is not to cap. Through looking at sources in articles and evidence provided by the Nom, there is mixed usage insufficient to justify capitalisation. Game in these titles is unnecessary and could/should be removed. To the comment on disambiguation, precision/disambiguation, per WP:TITLEDAB (a fuller explanation of WP:PRECISION at WP:AT) is only required to the extent of resolving an actual conflict in article titles. As there is no actual conflict in titles for this earlier league v the current league, additional precision to resolve a perceived ambiguity is neither require nor supported by the guidance at WP:AT. • Lowercase per nom and Cinderella157. Removal of "game" OK as well. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:02, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support nom per MOS:CAPS. I also think that the main page needs to be moved to something like UFL (2009–2012) Championship Game to avoid confusion with the new UFL. Esolo5002 (talk) 20:38, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per MOS:CAPS. Graham (talk) 18:41, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
