UranousUranium(IV) – In order to make this article more encyclopedic and less a WP:DICDEF, we should start by changing the title from an adjective to the stock nomenclature that would refer to U4+ by itself. Presumably, the end product will be similar to Iodide (I), unless U(IV) complexes should be discussed as well, then I would rename it to Uranium(IV) compounds and format it somewhat like Palladium(III) compounds. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 23:47, 5 December 2021 (UTC)— Relisting. —usernamekiran • sign the guestbook(talk) 05:40, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rename to Uranium(IV) compounds - there are almost no articles about ions, the article should include the various compounds to have enough content to justify an article. I note that titles like Lead(II) and Tin(IV) are currently redlinks. User:力 (powera, π, ν) 19:02, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pitchblende errror[edit]

"pitchblende (a crystalline variant of uraninite)". Not true. "Pitchblende" is an obsolete name of a variety of uraninite. As such, both "pitchblende" and uraninite are crystalline. Any form of uraninite is crystalline simply because uraninite is a mineral. Each mineral is crystalline by definition.Eudialytos (talk) 19:36, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
