'Tag as Advert'?? I would have thought that the person who put that tag on the page would have actually written a justification or better yet editted the 'tone' to suit himself. The Web3D Consortium is, as far as I know, a non-profit organization very much like the W3C and has no marketed or marketable product. Its 'products' are public domain web and media standards that are vetted by ISO, the International Standards Organization, and the article says so.
