This page is a spinoff from the article "When the Saints Go Marching In." (Before the rules-change. it would have been a sub-page.)

So many artists have performed the song that merely listing them threatened to overwhelm the original article, which centers on the song itself. Yet, on the other hand, the bare mention of a particular performance does not do justice to the artists.

The purpose of this article is to allow contibutors to not merely mention that an artist performed or recorded the song, but to expand upon the entry. Editors are invited to detail, if possible, the unique or innovative aspects of a particular rendering of the song. Inclusion of information about recordings is especially welcome.

The article has been divided into broad stylistic sections, and entries have been transferred from the other article. Editors may wish to list artists within those sections in chronologic order.

Although the article is somewhat thin now, as artists are added, it will fill out. The more you contribute, the more this page will flourish. B00P (talk) 21:24, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
