disabling[edit]

Windows Vista uses Task Scheduler 2.0 to run various system-level tasks [4], as such, the Task Scheduler service cannot be disabled any more. However it can be disabled with a simple registry tweak, google it, as we don't dear speak about it with MS watching and IP logging.

task folders?[edit]

I'd like to know the path to the folder where the scheduled tasks are stored. I get a message when I open Task Scheduler that several tasks are corrupt or have been tampered with. I could restore them from a backup if I knew where to look. 74.131.178.34 (talk) 03:50, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hidden Tasks[edit]

Not all tasks are listed. Extra steps are required to view the "hidden" tasks:

"you can view hidden tasks that are run by programs if you log on to the computer by using administrator credentials. To view hidden tasks, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type control schedtasks in the Open box, and then click OK.
On the Advanced menu, click View Hidden Tasks." http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883605

"By default, hidden tasks are not shown in the Task Scheduler user interface. You can view hidden tasks when Show Hidden Tasks is selected in the View menu. You make a task hidden when you click the Hidden check box on the General tab of the Task Properties or Create Task dialog box." http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749579%28v=ws.10%29.aspx -96.237.4.73 (talk) 21:43, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Error and Success constants list[edit]

Where can we find a complete list of result codes?

The only list we could find is http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/windows/desktop/aa383604(v=vs.85).aspx

However, there are cases where the code is not in that list (for exemple 0x7FFBD3FA). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fabfra (talkcontribs) 10:01, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not all codes originate within Task Scheduler itself. Many of them originate in other components. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4898:80E0:ED43:0:0:0:2 (talk) 17:07, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
