Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was moved. This should be easy enough to implement, but feel free to contact me on my talk page if I mess it up. --BDD (talk) 15:44, 29 October 2012 (UTC) (non-admin closure)[reply]

Template:Chemical enggTemplate:Chem eng – shorter, succint, uses the more common "eng" over "engg" 65.92.181.190 (talk) 04:20, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.

Discussion[edit]

Any additional comments:
  • It seems like a redirect from the one-g to the two-gg page would suffice. Neither abbreviation appears on the template. Cnilep (talk) 07:05, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed a stray space in the proposed title. I'm not sure it was intentional, but it's not necessary. --BDD (talk) 20:05, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • any stray space was a typo -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 05:54, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Also, I capitalized "Chem" - normally all titles start with a capital letter. Apteva (talk) 02:52, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • It doesn't really matter, Wikipedia doesn't support lowercase first letters. "Template:chem eng" and "Template:Chem eng" is the same page according to Wikipedia's MediaWiki implementation (any page you see starting with a lowercase letter is using an override trick to change the display, but the actual pagename is still capitalized). -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 11:40, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
