Categories question for discussion[edit]

I wondered if as well as being in Category:District of Columbia navigational boxes this template should also be in Category:Virginia navigational boxes, Category:West Virginia navigational boxes and Category:Maryland navigational boxes? Obviously the template is primarily related to Washington, D.C., but does include places in the other three states as a focus. When I saw the template I did think it should be in the Virginia template category as it includes sizable areas of Virginia like Arlington and Alexandria, but thought if I added the Virginia category would I also need to do so for the other states the metropolitian area covers? I do not like to over categorise, so would really welcome other editors' views on this before making any changes. Dunarc (talk) 20:14, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
