Good start[edit]

Can you add a 'See Also' section to the template? Would help clear up a lot of the clutter on most of the derrivate pages if those sections could also be removed and replaced with this template. Great job btw. GeneralBob 16:21, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

add forwards and futures to the template?[edit]

Should we add forwards and futures as derivatives as well? --Yury Petrachenko (talk) 11:50, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CDS[edit]

I know it's called a swap by virtue of its name but I don't think it should go under "Swaps". Perhaps create a new section for credit derivatives. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 08:42, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and added a section for credit derivatives. Please explain if you revert. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 09:15, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, it's probably better without CLNs since (AFAIK) there isn't an active market for them. This leaves only CDSs which isn't enought for an entire group. But I did remove CDSs from "Swaps". Doesn't belong there IMO. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 10:48, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Climate change??[edit]

I can understand consumer, corporate, and sovereign debt because there are widely traded financial derivatives on these. I get that late 2000s recession is germane. But what do climate change and resource depletion have to do with this? Equilibrium007 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:49, 21 April 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Well, to global warming alarmists, everything has to do with climate change, including your stubbed toe. On a more serious note though, I came here to ask the very same thing. /85.229.220.46 (talk) 06:27, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and removed them. Equilibrium007 (talk) 23:30, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
