I prefer this template's handling of multiple courses. Golf Facility could possibly use the "record" field from Golf Course. Hoof Hearted 19:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am assuming you mean the Facility template, and I agree which is why I made the template. Most "courses" are several courses as few 18 hole or 9 hole courses that are part of a golf club are going to be notable enough for their own article. Plus every item is optional, so if it's not filled out it doesn't show up, which means a single 18 hole course can simply not fill in the "course name" field and still use it. I agree the "record" field could be added to each course option. And by the way for those wondering why the title is this way, I wanted broad inclusion for Golf Resort, Golf Club, etc., but stayed away from Golf Club since people might think it is for woods & irons. Well, since it's been two weeks I'll go ahead and supercede Template:Infobox Golf Course with Template:Infobox Golf Facility. Nice job on your template. As I was changing over templates I noticed a few had fields for "longest Hole" (Augusta National Golf Club, for example). Do you think this is necessary to include? Hoof Hearted 17:55, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think its necessary, but it doesn't hurt. And with everything optional, if an article doesn't have it no big deal. Most articles barely fill out half of the fields, so one more won't matter. Aboutmovies 20:37, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Record field[edit]

The Course Record field has been added to Golf Facility. Aboutmovies 21:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Map Image[edit]

Can you add an entry for a second image, such as a Map, near the bottom of the infobox? Gamweb (talk) 00:10, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Add
|image2 =
|imagesize2=
|caption2 =
At the bottom. Aboutmovies (talk) 11:29, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cost[edit]

Can we please have an option for cost, because that is one of the most important things. Tri400 (talk) 15:46, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a directory. wjematherbigissue 16:59, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

General Manager and Head Golf Professional[edit]

Can we please have an option for general manager and head golf professional? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.171.130.171 (talk) 15:00, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Image field[edit]

Is this meant for a logo, or a photo of the course? Should there be a separate logo field, to allow both? --Lord Belbury (talk) 09:17, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Either, as long as it's inline with MOS:LEADIMAGE, which also implies that a single image is sufficient for the lead/infobox (however a second image option is already available – image2 parameter – in which case I'd say logo first, other second). wjematherplease leave a message... 09:49, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
