County executives and district attorneys[edit]
Should we include the county executive as well as the district attorney of a county? 2600:100C:A103:309B:8DBE:362A:250C:185D (talk) 01:46, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a directory, per WP:NOTDIRECTORY. In general I feel the absolute maximum number of people should be included in community infoboxes should be 1 or 2 top people max. For example, for cities (yeah I know this isn't a county), I feel that maybe the Mayor and City Manager is the most that should ever be included, because of WP:NOTDIRECTORY, so the same for counties too, only the top 1 or 2 people of power. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 23:48, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- I agree here but what would encompass this? Both of these are pretty powerful in general. 2600:100C:A103:309B:78B5:8E87:10D3:39D (talk) 01:41, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
Hawaii Time Zone[edit]
Hawaii does not observe Daylight Savings Time, yet Hawaii is in the | timezone1_DST parameter, resulting in HADT appearing in the DST line on pages such as Kauai County, Hawaii, despite the fact that DST is not observed there. I think that Hawaii should be removed from here and released with something like Aleutian as only settlements in the Aleutian Islands use HADT. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 20:37, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- On second thought, change
HADT
to{{#ifeq:{state}|Hawaii||HADT}}

Parameters for Government section[edit]
The government subsection of the infobox only has the one leader parameter, so perhaps a second parameter for legislative bodies (such as county councils, as a fair few have their own articles) and types of government would work well to keep it from looking too small and out of place. The Hawaii–Aleutian Time Zone is split between Hawaii and Alaska. Alaska observes daylight saving time, but Hawaii does not. Thus, please change:
Hawaii = HADT
to
Hawaii = {{#ifeq:{state}|Hawaii||HADT}}
and please add
| Hawaii = {{#ifeq:{state}|Hawaii||−9}}
below
| Alaska = −8
in the two places where each occurs. Kk.urban (talk) 20:13, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
