Production years or model years?[edit]

Auto timelines use production years by default. North American timelines, or brands with very few sales outside North America, use model years. This is an international timeline, and Jeep is an international brand, but most Jeeps are sold in North America. So I think it should be settled here which years to use. For production years, there's also the matter of when to cut off to the next year, e.g. if production or sales start late in the year like November or December -- but that's a more general discussion that can be had elsewhere. --Vossanova o< 13:53, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Vossanova, has a discussion on standardizing to either production years or model years on the automotive timelines been started yet? Regards,VX1NG (talk) 19:20, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
