Should non operating chains be allowed on the list?[edit]

Should something like Carmike, who was a chain before but is not in business anymore be included?Nookie123456789 (talk) 04:54, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The infobox title as displayed should be changed[edit]

The prevalent term in American English for film exhibition facilities is "movie theater". So the title should be "Major movie theater chains in the United States." Yes, some chains like Regal have used the term cinema, but cinema is more commonly used to refer to the film industry or the film exhibition industry as a whole.
