I propose to change the layout of this navbox template to a horizontal one, similar to Template:Protestant missions to China, then go through the articles that include it to move the navbox to the foot of each article. Often an article on a person or agency will have an infobox for that person or agency to the right (as in Frederick Stanley Arnot), giving an outline of key points in the article. That clashes with a navbox on the right. It is more common for navboxes that link articles "in a series" to be placed at the foot, which also allows for an article to include more than one navbox, for example "Protestant missions to Africa", "Zambia topics" and "African explorers". I went ahead and did it, and shifted the template to the foot of articles that include it. Observations:
This is clearly a format improvement for the articles that had summary infoboxes, which clashed with the sidebar.
All people listed in the template should have infoboxes (note to self)
I added the navbox template to several articles that did not have the series template. Typically these are about organizations that were/are active in Africa but also elsewhere
A significant number of articles on people include the template, but the person is not in the template. Presumably they should be added to the template, or the template removed from the article (note to self - don't complain, fix it)
