Template talk:Protestant missions to Pacific Islands

This template is so big it tends to dominate articles. It might make sense to group people by country of origin (e.g. US, Britain), destination area (Hawaii, South Pacific, etc.) or denomination, and have a hide/expand button. Also see Template:Christianity in Hawaii and List of Missionaries to Hawaii. The lists overlap of course. W Nowicki (talk) 16:39, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A way to make the template less obtrusive, and to also allow for individuals or groups that belong to more than one topic like this, is to make it a horizontal navbox to be placed at the foot of an article, in line with Template:Protestant missions to Africa or Template:Protestant missions to China. If nobody objects, I will do that. Aymatth2 (talk) 02:08, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like an improvement, I would support. I did make the original smaller since my comment two years ago, but many articles have an infobox on the right, so making horizontal would be more conventional. Just remember to visit each page that uses it and move to bottom. The ship picture is sort of nice, if you can keep it (perhaps scale down if needed). Done. I think it really is an improvement. Aymatth2 (talk) 17:19, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
