Former members[edit]

I've heard that Quiet Riot are now disbanded, now that Kevin DuBrow is no longer with us. If that's the case, ALL the people who were in Quiet Riot should be in the FORMER members section. Gringo300 (talk) 20:08, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Related articles[edit]

Considering my own edit and reversion and HrZ's message on my talk page: should the List of Ozzy Osbourne band members be listed in related articles?

For:

  • two members of Quiet Riot have joined Osbourne's band at some point in their career (Rhoads and Sarzo)

Against:

  • It's not that important
  • Sarzo for example also played with Whitesnake, Dio and Blue Oyster Cult, so you may have to include these also, which i.m.o. isn't directly related and belongs on an artists own page or navbox.

I added this in the first place during my cleanup of the template but I agree, it's not that important to include. The second against point though, I don't see how that would happen. As you pointed out on my talk page, there is no related information as to what falls under "related" so I used the guidelines of the Infobox template for musicians/groups (for associated acts). Those who are obviously related to the band should be included while others (with only 1 member in common, not directly related) should be avoided. If there are 2 or more members in common then it could be included. But that, really, only applies to the infobox. I don't see the harm in keeping it, but I'll go with the majority if they decide to get rid. HrZ (talk) 16:51, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Good point, I think your interpretation of associated acts covers this quite nicely and prevents an endless list of related bands. Thanks, — Quibus (talk) 19:23, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing more annoying than the endless band list that plagues some articles. The 2 members or more always brings it down a bit. No problem! HrZ (talk) 16:41, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
