I don’t understand why you’ve made a second template which isn’t very well titled. The politics of the Cantons is more than just the legislatures. Also the template you've made is entirely redundant. Île flottante (talk) 20:32, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What is wrong with the title and how do you suggest to improve it? Of course, politics is more than 'just the legislatures': but the template also provides a list of cantonal governments. If you acknowledge this fact, it is not entirely redundant any more.
I must say that, to me, the Template:Swiss legislatures look weird. It is so useful to mix federal and cantonal level together? Doesn't it make more sense to have on one side Swiss politics in general (Template:Switzerland topics and Template:Politics of Switzerland) and on another side the cantonal level (Template:Politics of Swiss cantons)?
To change for the better, I would rather replace the former mixed-level template with the new comprehensive cantonal institutions one. What do you think?

The nature of Switzerland’s evolution from a confederation to its present day situation as a federal state of 26 component entries means that the uniqueness of Switzerland having, for most of its history, had no central legislature is better reflected this way. Grouping things under politics does not sufficiently demonstrate that Switzerland is a federal country having evolved out of a confederation. Simplifying the boundaries between Cantons and the federal government is erroneou, as is confusing pre federal Switzerland with the current Swiss constitutional arrangement.
