[edit]

The logo for this project was a copy of the Tardis. This was a derivative work, and so cannot be freely licensed on Wikipedia. I've removed it for now. I guess we need a new (free) logo. --Tony Sidaway 21:09, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two images made from a police box, one is Tardis and one is this. Doctor Who does not hold the copyright on all police boxes, only the trade mark. -- Ned Scott 03:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Check the source. The author specifically designed it as a version of the TARDIS. The TARDIS is copyrighted. The image is derivative. Derivative works are prohibited. You can easily use a GFDL version of a normal police box and use that as your logo. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 03:35, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's still a bit absurd given the image, but fine, we'll get another image of a blue police box. -- Ned Scott 03:38, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On use of non-free content in template space[edit]

Eaomatrix has muddied the debate by claiming that restriction on non-free content applies only to userspace. This is incorrect. See criterion 9 of the Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria: Non-free content is used only in article namespaces; it is never used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages.

The more recently added TARDIS-trans.png may be free, though I'm not sure of that. --Tony Sidaway 13:27, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting this template to pre-meta[edit]

The meta template is severely broken, and it is not getting fixed. I am reverting this back to pre-meta. - LA (T) 20:21, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have reimplemented. It should not be broken now! Please let me know if there are any problems. Martin 12:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
