Software engineer, geek, board gamer, queer.
While I do support open source/free software development, I am of the opinion that proprietary software is not inherently bad, and that both the Free Software and Proprietary Software industries in some ways support each other. I feel most software piracy is bad, as the ultimate losers are end users and smaller developers. The companies and high ups aren't going to take the fall themselves.
In terms of my opinions on wikipedia, I have witnessed and seen evidence of unfortunate abuses of power on wikipedia in the past. I believe as a whole the project is achieving its goals though, and I hope my input here can be beneficial.
