I'm just this guy, you know?

I am not "jhf" on the Norwegian or Chinese Wikipedia; nor do I seek to claim that login on any non-English wiki — though I seem to have ended up with quite a few. I'm not sure how that happened, but I'm assuming it's kosher.

Things that want doing[edit]

Someday, when I have time to do this properly -- unless someone beats me to it!

  • The Clive Cussler article claims that he and the real-life National Underwater and Marine Agency have discovered many shipwrecks, but the articles for those ships make no mention of this. These finds should be added to the ships' pages, with references.
  • Please help flesh out GTE. There's a lot of stuff to be said.
  • USL v. BSDi was my first attempt to create an article. There are so many things wrong with it I wouldn't know where to begin. Please help fact check it, and add references, as a lot of the information on there is inaccurate, if not outright wrong!
  • Booting and Bootstrapping (computing) should be merged as Bootstrapping (computing), with separate sections for software bootstrapping and hardware bootstrapping.
  • MBR wants to be broken out into two or three separate articles -- one for the concept, "MBR", one or two for the IBM PC MBR and its attendant partition table format.
    • Or is there an MBR concept divorced from the PC Compatible at all?
  • A "Disk partition format" category should be created, and the partition format articles like GUID Partition Table, Apple Partition Map, and BSD disklabel converted into articles with a roughly similar structure and formatting. The hardest part will probably be "rationalizing" the MBR partition table stuff, as above.
