Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Pavane has been reverted.
Your edit here to Pavane was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/ericclapton) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. January 2018[edit]

Not only is "chapati" a widely-accepted English rendering of the name, it's the actual name of the page. If you'd like to get the page moved/renamed, you should use its talk page. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 22:41, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have no interest in moving the page, because I think it's fine where it is. There is no one true heaven-sent spelling for the word, so the article picks a common one and uses it consistently. If you really want to pursue this, go to WP:MOVE and/or WP:RM and follow the instructions there. It is also never a bad idea to discuss matters on the article's Talk page, which I linked to above. March 2018[edit]

Hello, I'm Donner60. An edit you recently made to Baghara baingan seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 03:18, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am striking the above message but I still think your edit is incorrect. It is at least unsupported. There is no reference that states that the dish is currently an Uzbekistani dish. The only reference is to an article which states it is a popular Indian dish in Hyderabad. Even if it originated in Tashkent, for which there is also no reference, there is no reason to state that it is currently a popular dish there without a source. Also, the source clearly supports that it is currently a popular dish in India. The change misrepresents the source and the current popularity of the dish in India. More might be added to this article, but references would be needed.

Thank you for your further explanation. You obviously are familiar with the wider history. I think it would be best to add another source for the additional information in order to make this clear. Donner60 (talk) 04:51, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits broke links. Wikipedia uses wp:commonname and in this case it is Indrajit and not Indrajita The wp:redlink indicates there is no article. Please check the articles before changing names. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 07:36, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Indrajita/Indrajit[edit]

If you wish to change the name in the article, you should request that Indrajit be moved. I have no idea what the 'proper' spelling of Indrajit/Indrajita should be and personally, have no opinion. However, I do want the wp:commonname to be used. I suspect that there are many English translations of it, which one is 'proper', I don't know. Please start a discussion on talk:Indrajit and get wp:consensus to move it. I would suggest using a wp:RfC to get other's attention. Please leave the spelling to Indrajit until consensus is reached. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 19:16, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You can still to a move request. If you were able to move the page without consensus, it would likely get moved back. Please, if you wish to reply, use wp:notifications? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:26, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Don't change "Indrajita" to "Indrajit" until the page move/rename has been resolved. You only change part of the name on Indrajit which makes it confusing. That is considered wp:disruptive editing, so stop it. BTW: if you use google translate on इन्द्रजित् it gives "Indrajit" and not "Indrajita" Jim1138 (talk) 00:33, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's under discussion on talk:Indrajit. Resolve the move. If it is moved to "Indrajita", then and only then it should be changed.

Information icon Hello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Hindustan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
