Notability of Alexandru Juncu[edit]

A tag has been placed on Alexandru Juncu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 00:28, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

June 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Politehnica University of Bucharest may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • rector=Mihnea Costoiu <ref>[http://www.upb.ro/en/rectors-message.html UPB Rector's message</ref>|

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 09:12, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Crash Course (YouTube) Episodes[edit]

Hello Alexandrujuncu,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Crash Course (YouTube) Episodes for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 09:32, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't know if this is notable, but you can check against this criteria. If you feel that's the case, let me know and I will restore it to a draft so you can remove the extremely promotional (ad-like) material, expand it and submit it for review. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 02:25, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

April 2015[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in 3 GB barrier ‎, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
Personal note: I am a strong supporter of the IEC binary prefixes. However, their use has been the subject of much argument on WP. The consensus for some years now has been that the IEC prefixes are not to be used, even for disambiguation, except in some specific circumstances. None of those circs apply to either 3 GB barrier or Conventional memory. This is spelled out at WP:COMPUNITS (part of the MOS). The main reasons for this decision were that they are unfamiliar to most readers and most of our sources don't use them, and we must follow our sources; given the nature of WP, this is pretty tough to argue with. Proposed deletion of Comparison of Motorola Moto smartphones[edit]

The article Comparison of Motorola Moto smartphones has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:LISTCRUFT - I don't see a need for a comparison when most of this info is on the individual pages. WP is not a catalogue of products or a buyers guide

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
