Your edits to the Wikicalendar pages[edit]

Hi Benjamin, thanks for your contributions. However, I've had to revert a bunch of your changes to the Wikicalendar. For all those pages, a person's description is their nationality and their occupation - for example, "American actor." This description should be as short as possible - ideally, two words. If someone is a singer, actress, model, and writer, pick the one occupation she is most known for, and list that. For actors, please don't make their description the role they are most famous for playing. If people are interested in that information, they can visit that person's Wikipedia article. Please feel free to edit, but stick to that protocol. Thanks. Fabricationary 02:57, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Presidents of Indonesia[edit]

Sorry, but I've removed your addition of templates. This was an issue only a few weeks - it's funny, in that the template you've created was essentially the same as the one rejected. See here: [1]. Happy to discuss if need be. regards Merbabu 01:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Terrancehoward.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Terrancehoward.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

The Amazing Race 11 Route map[edit]

I notice how you update the map of The Amazing Race 11, you are not using "upload new version for this file" that find out in the bottom of image page to update but you upload into new name, new file. Try to use that to uploading a new version of map, and refresh the cache, it will refresh to new version, and please speedy deletion for old map. Thank you. --Aleenf1 04:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

This is vandalism, kay? :) Don't remove content and then put it up on AfD for being uninformative. 86.137.121.170 19:26, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Andrew Airlie. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. You removed content from this article then nominated it for deletion based on content that was missing--specifically the same content that you deleted).[2] This is vandalism, and I post this official vandalism notice because the one above was posted by an anon IP. Fair use rationale for Image:SpyKids2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SpyKids2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man is now Qst 17:52, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Scream trilogy.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Scream trilogy.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Final Destination thrillogy.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Final Destination thrillogy.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 13:03, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Obama template[edit]

Hi - I see you've rearranged the Barack Obama template, but since you did not provide an edit summary with your reasons, nor do I see any discussion (I might have missed that), it's hard to know what was done. Would be helpful in the future to do so, but in any case - I don't have the patience to go through it line by line, so can you tell me if you made any actual changes other than the re-ordering? I don't really care about the order per se, but I do want to know if there are any substantive changes. Thanks. Tvoz/talk 23:04, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Carmenworld2ndedition.PNG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Template:James Wong and Glen Morgan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. --woodensuperman 12:57, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:SpyKids2.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:SpyKids2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:35, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
