Cluebot NG

- Yep. It went down at 07:57, 11 August 2011 and came back up at 07:17, 12 August 2011. Are you one of it's controllers? (I ask because you're not listed as one.) If not, how did you know how to fix it? Sven Manguard Wha? 07:30, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- Controller? Not really. I have admin rights to the report/review interfaces and the server so I can restart it when it breaks and help with the FP reports etc. Mainly just answer questions and do general adminy stuff! - Is there a list of people with admin rights to the servers? ClueBot goes down once every few months, it seems, and... well... we really need it up 24/7/365. The list, if it exists, might stand to be publicized somewhere too, so we can fetch you when needed. Sven Manguard Wha? 07:58, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- Not really apart from the big orange notice here. The bot might get moved to a server with more ram as php going nuts and having a party with oom-killer seems to mostly caused the issues. Could be interesting writing some nagios plugins/running the core/bot/relay bots under supervisord though. Not sure how much of a difference it would make as we normally notice pretty quickly if the server falls over. - DamianZaremba (talk • contribs) 08:10, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

ClueBot III creating archives recursively
Hi Cobi, ClueBot III should not be creating archives recursively, like it did at Talk:Mad (magazine)/Archive 2/Archives/ 1/Archives/ 1/Archives/ 1/Archives/ 1/Archives/ 1/Archives/ 1. I discovered this highly bizarre archive while checking which pages linked to my user page. It turns out that the mistake occurred because of this edit to the main talk page that placed a message between the talk page headers and the ClueBot III archive template. I've deleted all the junk indexes; I hope the bot can sort everything out itself. Please also check a similar message about archive wibbles that I left at the ClueBot Commons talk page.
