Welcome![edit]

- the references keep going wrong on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Archer_(adventurer)

Not sure what the problem is. The references look fine to me. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 18:34, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed[edit]

I'm pleasantly surprised you actually did the rename.

The problem with your references is you've enclosed them in nowiki tags. This suppresses all Wikicode, so you just see them bare. If you remove the nowiki tags it will work.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Paul Archer (adventurer) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

A tag has been placed on Daredevil Project, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Lfdder (talk) 09:19, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Daredevil Tournament[edit]

Hello EmRob07,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Daredevil Tournament for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. R!j!n (talk) 15:44, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:56, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop junking up article space and removing deletion tags[edit]

The Articles for Creation process (which I know you are familiar with) is there for a reason. I also recommend you not do PR for Archer or the Daredevil "Project"; paid editing is strongly discouraged. Pinkbeast (talk) 16:04, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi PinkBeast

I apologise if you think that I've been misusing Wikipedia.

I removed the tags because I thought you were allowed once you had dealt with the problem- for example once I had linked the articles together they were no longer orphans.

I am familiar with the articles for creation page, and thought you should know that I chose to write wikipedia articles on these subjects because I am interested in events companies in Bristol, and thought that they should have wikipedia pages. I also wanted to get involved with Wikipedia and thought that writing articles for an up and coming company would help me learn a valuable skill.

EmRob07

Of course, yes, you have no financial connection with them at all. What a surprise. Nevertheless, please go via Articles For Creation. Don't create articles in mainspace. Pinkbeast (talk) 16:23, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Daredevil Tournaments requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:31, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
