- I am sorry that you cannot attend today. I would still like to meet you sometime and talk about scientific devices. Consumer Reports houses a lot of novel testing equipment which I want to share, and I think you also are trying to find ways to share media for scientific instruments. I also know other people who have science media collections and we are all wondering what to do with them. I leave the country for a month this weekend. Perhaps we can meet sometime in March. - Hi WeijiBaikeBianji! Yes, Templeton’s papers are very helpful. He makes a really convincing case against human subspecies and explains in detail why human races have no place in standard taxonomies. At the same time, I also think that his arguments are somewhat limited in scope. Researchers in other areas (e.g. biomedicine) follow different classificatory standards and are not concerned with subspecies in the sense of Templeton. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
