Image copyright problem with Image:Sly.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sly.JPG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Orphaned non-free image (File:Population.JPG)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Population.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 18:19, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note that I have edited your userpage to remove the non-free images. Our policies only allow those images to be used in articles, not on userspace or other non-encyclopedia pages. Let me know if you have any questions. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:19, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there Grandtheftwalrus, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some images that I found on User:Grandtheftwalrus/CDs. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use images to your user-space drafts or your talk page. See a log of images removed today here, shutoff the bot here and report errors here. Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 04:13, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Portal[edit]

Yeah.. the rating is "M" according to their own database. We also shouldn't be cute with comments. If you want to change something like this in the future, please provide sources. Cheers. Rehevkor 05:16, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ah. well, i own an australian copy of the game, and it says MA15+ on the case, so you can see why I was misled. — Limabeans 05:19, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps that is the rating for The Orange Box. Rehevkor 14:37, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
yeah, i think you're right. i mean, my copy isn't the orange box, it's definitely just Portal, but i believe they've taken lots of the information from the orange box, including the rating and system requirements (the giveaway is that it says you need 20 GB free on your hard drive...). but i do think there should be a source for the 'M' rating on the page because australian copies of portal say 'MA15+' on them. — Limabeans 07:46, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hawthorn vs. Fremantle AFL Game[edit]

Hey there, The doesn't seem to be any resource of where you got that information from. Apparently it seems to you just make up this information from original research. Can you please don't add the crowd in of this match unless you can prove you're point with backup. Thanks, McAusten (talk) 5:54, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Dutch surnames[edit]

Dutch surnames are tricky to work with. Please see the Dutch name article, the surname section reads in part "In the Netherlands, these prefixes are not spelled with a capital when used in combination with the first name or initial...In all other cases a capital letter must be used." --Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:17, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Everton[edit]

Hi. I hope you don't mind what I did with the Everton article. I just felt that detailing every pre-season game would make for a really long page. I copied what they did on the Barcelona page from last season. Feel free to change anything you don't like. Thanks. Spc 21 (talk) 03:44, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

yeah, no worries! that's probably for the best. can't say i'm a huge fan of the list format, i.e. "On Xth of Month," on every line, but whatever works. any prose is better than none! cheers. — Limabeans 13:01, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm not really a fan of it either but couldn't think of another way to do it. Spc 21 (talk) 18:49, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mauro Boselli, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Primera División (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I changed the accessdate because you originally added it on 24 November 2012, as Wikipedia says. Don't quite understand why you wrote 25 instead of 24, perhaps it was just a typo? Thanks. Arbero (talk) 12:24, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting vandalism and user warnings[edit]

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Australia national association football team: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Rjbsmith (talk) 13:18, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
