Information icon Hello, I'm Jthekid15. I noticed that you recently removed content from Near-native speaker without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Explain why a bit better next time. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Iamnotawikibot", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Ashleyyoursmile! 13:46, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Ashleyyoursmile (talk · contribs), I would argue that in this case, the username is acceptable as it doesn't meet the specific wording "easily misunderstood". The name in question stating clearly "Iamnotawikibot" instead of, say, "Iamawikibot" or "wikibot". In my opinion, the 'not' makes it clear. Jthekid15 (talk) 13:57, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Jthekid15, I completely agree to what you are saying, but this account has been reported at the WP:UAA, which indicates that someone thought it was misleading and might violate the policy. Ashleyyoursmile! 13:59, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
